Ouch, Ouch, Ouch

The first one is for my left shin, the second for my right shin and the third is for my right foot. I'm not sure if there was any part of my lower legs that wasn't hurting Saturday! :-) Since it was raining when I left my house, I didn't take my Ipod. I knew it was going to be tough without it. Thank God for Kim and Carey. I ran with them for a good bit of the time and they really kept me motivated. It would have been much harder to do the 15 miles on my own. Thank you, thank you!

I came home and got in a tub with ice and water. If you haven't tried this, you really need to. You will be amazed at how good your legs will feel later in the day. And, once you get used to the cold water it really isn't that bad.

Charlie, the kitty, is doing really good. She and Abby, the Golden Retriever, are getting along very well. We bought a toy for Charlie--a fuzzy bird that actually makes a bird sound when it's moved. Well, Abby likes it more than Charlie. We've caught her on more than one occasion with the bird in her mouth. Not sure how long that toy will last. :-)

Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm really proud of everyone who toughed it out in the rain Saturday. Even though I was hurting, I think this was the first time that I've truly known "I can do this." 26.2 miles here I come!! See you all Saturday!

There are a couple of Saturday mornings I know that I wouldn't have been able to make it without Kim and Carey! What would we do without them?! Ya'll did GREAT out there in the pouring down rain. Everybody did.

Glad to hear the cat is doing well!

See ya Saturday.

P.S. I tried the ice water when I got home--don't recall being so sore that day!!!
