Who Put That Hill There??

Yesterday's run was great. Except for the final hill. Man, that was kinda tough. Who put that stinkin' thing there? :-) I liked the trail part of the run--especially the shady parts. Lewis and I stayed together for a while during the trail run. He's a funny guy. It made the run easier. There was a guy in front of me for a few minutes who said that he'd love to run a marathon, but his wife "won't let him." I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly, so I asked him again. I didn't really want to get in this guys business, but I also couldn't believe what I was hearing. He said that he runs 3 or 4 times a week but his wife would never let him train for a marathon. I felt sad for him but at the same time felt very thankful to have such a supportive family. Training for a marathon DOES take a lot of time and commitment, but if someone's dream is to run one, then they should follow that dream!! (Just my opinion.)

It was really good to see everyone out there giving it their ALL. Can't wait to go to Chicago! :-) I'm going out of town this weekend, so I won't be at the group run on Saturday. But, I will get my mileage in! Blog on, everybody!

that is sad. I could not attempt to do this without the support of my husband. if he wasn't supporting me, I couldn't take the time to train.
